Today, I went in a city nearby to visit a bit I'm from south of France if you didn't know, I've been there so many times but I always go to the same boring places, buy from the same shops and so a a few days ago I asked my niece if she would be interested into looking deeper into the city, and we found rather interesting things. We had a lot of fun. I took some pictures, but I couldn't do so in all places..

This is a proper scary sculpture but it made me giggle ! |
A lovely jewelry shop and you can see part of a street behind me ! |
The pasta at the front are so HUGE you wouldn't believe it it's ridiculous ! |
The front of a school, pretty painting huh ? Made me full of joy ! |
Architecture |
Just a random, artsy, balcony, look at the butterfly on the right wall, and the golden statue in the back ! |
A huge memorial/fountain in the middle of a lovely park in front of an old prison. |
Again a lovely fountain near the old prison. |
This is the entry of the old prison, we couldn't get in today but we'll try and see if we can visit sometime soon, apparently prisoners were tortured in this place throughout...WW1 I believe. |

Me and my niece ! |
Classic bridge architecture in south of France, it was right underneath the old prison. |

I bought those sick holographic glasses today, how cool are they ?!! |

My niece in front of the church. |

A painting in the church |
Again in the church |
I wish this showed up properly cause it was so beautiful ! |
This really looks typically from the south ! |
As you can see the pictures are rather poor quality, especially the ones in the church I'm so sorry, but there was no light and the flash didn't really help, plus I didn't want to disturb the few people that were there. But it was absolutely stunning. The bus driver that took us to that city, was slightly scary at first but ended up being very kind and funny, and we also met a few guys, younger than us, on this bus and they were really sweet. I bought my glasses in a costume shop, I go there often but my niece had never been, I love to wander through the wigs and scary masks. Then we went off to visit the church. We then found a beautiful little secondhand bookshop it smelt of old books, and I wanted to buy them all but had no money left, I'll have to bring more next time ! We also found a very small beauty/nail salon, who sells high quality and organic make-up, the make-up artist there was a sweetheart and I'll definitely be going back to get my nails done or something. We also discovered a sweet little café, it's full of books and there's also a table with paint for children.
We should always step out of our comfort zone, talk with new people, visit new places, and see the world with enthusiastic eyes. Everything just seemed beautiful today, on the way back home, I listened to the smashing pumpkins, the sun was out and I was looking out the window with my new glasses, it looked like the world had gorgeous nuances of purple and green. Life is beautiful.
